On June 2, 2023, an Exchange of Notes was concluded in Yaren, the capital of the Republic of Nauru, between Mr. TANAKAKenichiro, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, Embassy of Japan to the Republic of Nauru, and Hon. Pyon Deiye, Minister forInformation, Communication and Technology to the Republic of Nauru, for a grant aid of 1.50 billion yen to be funded under Japan’s “Economic and Social Development Programme,"
